The pearl from the shelf:
“A master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which, he simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing”
Consideration
James A. Michener shows how work and play, labor and leisure are the same for the advanced human being.
How is this possible? When we realize that Love is present everywhere and that Love is the force that moves the Universe, we will learn to fill our time with only two activities:
To experience love when we do what we choose to do,
And to to do what we love to do…
Until finally, one day, there will be no difference and all what we will experience will be choice and love.

Thank-you for this post! This is one of the most important posts that I have read in recent history! Michener got it right, we tend to want to separate all the different aspects of our life, when in reality as we become more aware the lines of division fade and all of our thoughts and actions become the art of being!
Mark, thanks for your kind comment.
